About the event
Come hear the New Zealand premier Staged Reading of "Snowpants Don't Lie" by American Playwright, Amy Chaffee. Based on true events, this fast, witty political comedy is set in the first week of December, 1968. A group of pregnant professors wives gossip, trade baby clothes, discuss politics and conspire to help one of their gang to get a illegal medical care. And, along the way, these 6 women discover more about themselves than they bargained for. Featuring local Auckland artists, this playreading will be free to the public and a talk back with the cast and author will follow.
Sponsored by The Actors Program and Kacie Stetson Studios, Auckland, Aotearoa.
